DJ Soul Jones is a DJ, producer, songwriter and artist from Newport in South Wales, known for his soulful, bass‑rich fusion of r’n’b, funk and gospel‑inspired energy. His musical roots stretch back to playing funk, soul, acid jazz, rare groove and ragga — sounds that shaped his early identity behind the decks and ultimately led him into the worlds of funky house, soulful garage and jungle. 

With a passion for soulful vocals and deep, purposeful basslines, DJ Soul Jones carved out a style that is both deeply expressive and spiritually grounded. His performances have taken him to major UK club institutions including Ministry of Sound, Cream, Chic, Lloyds and Liberties, while radio appearances on BBC Radio Wales, Bay FM, Bridge FM and Radio Friendly have amplified his reach across audiences craving authentic, heartfelt music. He has also earned recognition from industry peers such as Soul Xpress and Gruvtoobe.

A pivotal milestone came with his feature on BBC Introducing, which showcased his evolution from DJ to fully independent music creator. Today, DJ Soul Jones embraces complete artistic autonomy — writing, performing, recording, producing and mixing his own music.
